La Casa del Camarero awards the best ham carver at Alicante Gastronómica

ALICANTE.– José Luis Fructuoso Pérez has become the winner of the 1st Professional Ham Carving Competition at Alicante Gastronómica, a contest that premieres at this edition of the fair to recognise the technique, precision and knowledge of the professionals in one of the most representative trades in gastronomy.
The competition has brought together specialists who had to demonstrate their skill before the jury, which assessed aspects such as the cleanliness of the piece, its yield and productivity, the regularity of the slices, the plating and the final presentation.
The prize was presented to the winner by Carlos Jiménez, manager of La Casa del Camarero, a firm belonging to Qualygrup and sponsor of the competition alongside Calzado Laboral DIAN.
Participation in the competition reinforces Qualygrup's link with the hospitality sector and the professionals who carry out their daily work in kitchens, restaurants, hotels and other HORECA establishments.

With his victory, José Luis inaugurates the winners' list of the Professional Ham Carving Competition at Alicante Gastronómica, a new event intended to promote the specialisation, technique and talent of these professionals.
